APPLICATION

The Advanced Energy Artesyn uMP series GEN II power supply is a digitally configurable solution offering industry-leading power density and efficiency. With a broad input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC and active AC inrush control limiting start-up current to a maximum of 40 A, this power supply is designed for reliable operation in demanding environments. Housed in a compact 1U chassis with 4- or 6-slot configurations, it delivers power ratings from 400 W to 1600 W, depending on the input line and selected output modules. Fully certified to EN60950 for ITE applications and EN60601 for medical safety, it meets stringent regulatory requirements for diverse applications.

The uMP series GEN II provides five narrow-range adjustable output modules covering 0.9 V to 60 V and one wide-range module adjustable from 3.3 V to 30 V, allowing for precise voltage customization. Active power factor correction ensures minimal harmonic distortion and compliance with EN61000-3-2, achieving a typical power factor of 0.99. Built for durability, it meets Military STD shock and vibration standards and offers an optional conformal coating for added protection. Compared to its predecessor, the GEN II boasts enhanced aesthetics and a 36% noise reduction thanks to an intelligent fan with speed control and fault monitoring. This makes it an ideal choice for medical devices, industrial automation, and defence applications requiring high reliability and low acoustic noise.
