Relec’s range of CAN/RS485/RS232 Isolated Bus Transceiver Modules integrate a transceiver, isolation chip and high efficiency isolated dc dc converter in one single module. The Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, originally developed for data communication automobile networks, is a robust differential signalling, serial communications system. It has quickly gained acceptance into a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, industrial machinery, medical systems, agricultural machinery, marine control, navigation and elevator control systems, amongst others.

Relec’s CAN transceivers solve specialised networking requirements for various applications and power supply systems, providing solutions for 5 Volt, 3 Volt operation as well as CAN FD (Flexible Data rates).

Traditional transceivers can only receive and send data, which requires an external isolation chip/opto-coupler and isolated dc dc converter to complete the solution.
