Medical Grade Power Supplies

Medical power supplies differentiate themselves from standard AC DC Converters, by virtue of having very low leakage currents. All of the medical power supplies provided by Relec Electronics meet the relevant standards including the globally recognised EN60601-1 and UL60601-1. Most of our medical power supplies are 2 x MOPP, this is the highest level of protection and features 4kVac isolation, 8mm creepage distance and double insulation. Where shown as Type BF (Body Floating) the outputs are floating with respect to earth for added protection. This isolation removes the path for conduction of functional currents (in the event that the patient is earthed) of a defibrilator or other applied part through the body.

Relec Electronics offer a wide range of power supplies including low power plugtop and desktop devices, chassis mounting supplies from 40…300W and a range of factory configurable units up to 1kW in output power. We also work closely with all of our suppliers and would be happy to look at custom or variant medical power supplies if you cannot fulfil your requirements from our standard range.
