The customer’s requirement wasn’t difficult. We had to offer a low profile 12V 10W, DIN rail mount PSU, to power a series of energy monitoring devices which are used in commercial premises.

The problem was that we had to provide a perfect match to the branding of the monitoring module, whilst still be able to deliver on a short leadtime and at a competitive price.  Whilst we have access to custom livery straight from the factory, the leadtimes and MOQs made this offer prohibitive.

Result

The AMR1-12, ac dc converter perfectly matched the electrical requirements for the application. We were also able to offer an in-house custom labelling solution with the customer’s logo, using our own stock , giving flexibility on supply without having to commit to high volume custom units.

Prototypes were delivered inside one week and the first batch of 200 units delivered 3 weeks later.
