APPLICATION
The CBS-10K is a single output DC/DC converter that provides a peak power of up to 10kW for up to 40 seconds with multiple input-output voltage combinations. The CBS-10K is the perfect fit for a wide range of applications that require high power conversion in a compact and light design.
With a 6kW power average, this converter series offers a 500Vdc output and can be adjusted up to 700Vdc on request. The CBS-10K has been developed with SiC Technology, to provide exceptionally high power density.
The CBS-10K has been designed according to rolling stock standards (EN50155 / EN45545-2) and is the perfect fit to start diesel engines in hybrid diesel-electric trains. It will allow trains to manoeuvre at low speed when catenary power is not available, supplying the rectifier to operate as an inverter when starting the engine.
